Pulmonary and Respiratory Services

Lee's Summit Medical Center’s Pulmonary and Respiratory services are designed to treat and prevent breathing disorders for all age groups. Our respiratory therapists are certified or registered and licensed with the Missouri Board of Healing Arts. Our lung specialists (pulmonologists) provide diagnostic screening as well as comprehensive care and support to patients suffering from conditions such as:

Respiratory therapy is actively involved in assisting physicians with diagnosis, prevention and treatment of pulmonary conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Therapists perform simple spirometry, complete pulmonary function testing, pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry, and bronchoprovocation studies. Some common pulmonary and respiratory tests include:

• Spirometry
